Job Description:

Join a reputable acute care hospital in Springfield, Illinois, as a Medical Surgical RN specializing in Urology and Nephrology. This contract position involves working 12-hour night shifts (4x12 or 3x12 options), providing an opportunity to care for a 23-bed unit with an average daily census of 23 patients. Your primary responsibilities will include managing pre/post-hemodialysis cases, monitoring telemetry with remote cardiac oversight, and administering IV therapy and blood products. The role offers a chance to work within a Magnet hospital and level I trauma center, utilizing Cerner charting and demonstrating expertise in isolation precautions, wound care, and respiratory management. Float to other Medical Surgical units is expected, and the schedule aims to accommodate block preferences when possible.
