Job Description:

Join a dedicated Labor and Delivery team in Chesapeake, VA, where you'll be providing specialized nursing care to patients during one of the most critical phases of maternity. This assignment involves working in a compact 15-bed OBED/Antepartum unit that manages pregnancies beyond 20 weeks, with 11 labor beds and two operating rooms. As a labor and delivery RN, you'll deliver hands-on support during births, monitor maternal and fetal well-being, and assist in cesarean sections and other procedures. The role offers the chance to experience a fast-paced environment with shifts scheduled for 12 hours during the day, giving you time to explore the region after your shift. This position requires proficiency in EPIC, current certifications (ACLS, AWHONN, NRP), and a valid Virginia or compact state license. Candidates must have at least two years of recent L&D experience and reside more than 50 miles from the facility to comply with radius rules.
