Job Description:

Join our team as a medical-surgical nurse in the Medical Care Unit, where you'll care for patients with a variety of medical diagnoses awaiting long-term placement. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts, with the opportunity to float between the Medical Care Unit and Inpatient Rehab, which specializes in intensive rehabilitation services. Your responsibilities will include assessing patients, planning and implementing nursing care, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes. Experience with Cerner EMR and telemetry is preferred, allowing you to bring your skills to a supportive environment that values adaptability and professionalism. This assignment offers a chance to work in a setting that balances clinical complexity with a welcoming community atmosphere. Expect to provide attentive, detailed care to geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, telemetry, and psychiatric patients. While on call is not a regular requirement, you may be called in occasionally—responding within one hour for low census periods.
