Job Description:
Join a high-volume ER team handling approximately 200 patients daily in a Level 3 trauma center that operates with trauma bays similar to Level 1/II facilities. This assignment is ideal for emergency nurses with at least two years of recent trauma experience, especially those familiar with trauma level protocols and STEMI or stroke receiving protocols. You will be working 12-hour night shifts, providing care in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and quick decision-making are essential. Responsibilities encompass managing a broad spectrum of emergency cases, including patient triage, IV starts, and collaboration with ED physicians and mid-level providers. The role requires proficiency in Epic EMR, and RNs must independently read telemetry screens. Expect shared responsibilities with ED techs and RTs, with access to advanced equipment like Glidescope, Hamilton ventilators, and Phillips vents. Excellent situational awareness and independence will serve you well in this critical care setting.
