Job Description:

This intermediate care unit position in Wheeling, West Virginia, offers an engaging opportunity for experienced nurses to work 12-hour day shifts in a 30-bed facility, featuring both private and semi-private rooms. You'll be responsible for managing patients with a variety of diagnoses, including chest pain, arrhythmias, CHF, and post-procedure care, all while reading and interpreting telemetry strips and titrating critical drips like Amiodarone and Heparin. The role combines clinical expertise with a touch of expedition—think of yourself as the navigator steering your patients safely through their recovery. Expect a mix of floor work and collaborative team efforts with charge nurses and clinical assistants, all in a setting that values flexibility and skill. This assignment, set within a well-staffed environment with 24/7 coverage by hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and IV teams, ensures you have the support needed to deliver quality care.
