Job Description:

Join a Level 3 NICU team in Peoria, Illinois, for a rewarding travel nursing experience during night shifts. You'll be responsible for managing neonates with complex conditions such as congenital anomalies, PPHN, and genetic defects, with patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:4 depending on acuity. Titrate drips like Fentanyl, Morphine, and Precedex under physician orders, troubleshoot ventilator equipment including conventional vents and CPAP, and collaborate with a neonatalist available 24/7. This position offers self-scheduling with the opportunity to float across units and participate in unit-specific orientation. The environment is fast-paced but supportive, with a dedicated charge nurse and specialized neonatal care team members alongside advanced neuro-monitoring systems.
