Job Description:

This travel respiratory therapy role takes place on a dedicated Medical Respiratory Unit, where you'll provide critical care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions such as pneumonia, COPD, and other lung diseases. The position involves working 12-hour day shifts, with a commitment of 36 hours per week over a period of 13 weeks. You'll be part of a team that manages a 42-bed unit, including an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Your responsibilities will include participating in daily interdisciplinary rounds, managing treatments, and providing support to patients with varied needs including GI issues, diabetes, and post-surgical recovery. Flexibility to float to other units and hospitals is essential, and you'll gain experience working alongside a dedicated team focused on respiratory health in a setting that values professional expertise and collaborative care.
