Job Description:

As a surgical nurse, you'll be assigned to units like the trauma surgical floor, neuroscience, orthopedics, or med-surg/oncology, caring for a variety of patients with conditions ranging from general surgeries to complex neurological cases. Expect to perform tasks such as wound care, chest tube management, IV starts, and assisting with patient activities, all while navigating a patient load typically around 1:4 to 1:6.
