Job Description:

This respiratory therapy contract places you in a fast-paced adult and geriatric critical care environment, where you'll perform essential procedures such as extubations, nasal airway placements, suctioning, and tracheostomy care. You'll handle various inhaled medications like albuterol, nebulizers, and inhaled steroids, using aerosol setups, metered-dose inhalers, and high-flow oxygen devices. The role involves troubleshooting ventilator alarms, managing weaning from mechanical ventilation, and working across multiple units as needed, all while honing your skills in a Level 1 trauma setting. Expect to contribute directly to patient stabilization and recovery during each night shift, with plenty of opportunities to sharpen your expertise in critical respiratory care.

Job Specifics:

Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Duration: 13 weeks
Internal Order Description: RRT Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics, requiring 2 years of experience in adult critical care, with all scheduling requests included at submission. Candidates must have an active SC license, ACLS, and BLS certifications. The role involves providing respiratory support to adult and geriatric patients within a Level 1 trauma setting, with responsibilities including ventilator management, aerosol therapy, tracheostomy care, and medication administration via inhalation devices. floating to other qualified units is required as needed, and a minimum of 1 year of EPIC charting experience is necessary.
