Job Description:

This RN position in the PCU offers an engaging opportunity to work in a 33-bed unit that handles a variety of patient diagnoses such as stroke R/O, pneumonia, cellulitis, AMS, and COPD. The role involves managing patient loads with ratios of 1:5 to 1:6, requiring skills in tracheostomy care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood products, wound dressing changes, and central line management. The shift is 12 hours during the day, providing a balanced work schedule. You will collaborate closely with support staff including CNAs, phlebotomists, and resource nurses, while utilizing EMR systems like EPIC and advanced telemetry monitoring technology. The assignment emphasizes teamwork and effective communication in a close-knit environment, offering a rewarding chance to sharpen your skills while contributing meaningfully to patient care outcomes.
