Job Description:

Join this engaging travel assignment on the Big Island, where you'll work in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit that combines the intensity of ICU with the oversight of telemetry. As a registered nurse, you'll provide primary nursing care, monitor telemetry strips, and perform procedures like fingerstick blood sugars, all while navigating Meditech charting and Pyxis medication systems. This role offers a variation in shifts, with scheduled 36 hours per week following orientation—perfect for those who want a mix of routine and new experiences. The unit boasts a friendly team and a chance to float across various departments, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER, providing diverse and rewarding challenges. Experience in acute care and telemetry is preferred, and certifications such as PALS, NIHSS, and ACLS will enhance your readiness.
