Job Description:

Join the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at Children’s Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for a 13-week travel contract. This role offers the opportunity to work with critically ill children, providing advanced respiratory support including BIPAP, CPAP, vents, and high flow nasal cannula. You'll be floating to Pediatric and NICU units as needed, bringing your expertise to diverse patient needs. The night shift schedule is 3x12-hour shifts, allowing for longer stretches of time off. Experience with Medtronic pacemakers, telemetry monitoring, and trach care is essential. The environment is fast-paced but rewarding, with a patient ratio typically around 1:2 or fewer, on a unit with 19 beds. Day-to-day duties involve close collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a critical care setting. This role is ideal for a seasoned PICU RN ready to take on new challenges in a vibrant hospital setting.
