Job Description:

Join a specialized Stepdown Cardiac unit as a registered nurse on a 48-hour contract. In this role, you’ll be actively managing patients with conditions such as heart failure, chest pain rule outs, NSTEMI, post-procedure recovery, COPD exacerbations, and substance withdrawal. Be prepared to run IV drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, and insulin, all while maintaining a sharp eye on cardiac strips. The setting offers a patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6, providing a manageable yet engaging environment where your expertise directly impacts patient outcomes. This assignment emphasizes EPIC experience and requires familiarity with interpreting EKG strips, along with BLS, NIH, and ideally ACLS certifications. The night shift runs four 12-hour shifts per week, providing a rhythm that’s ideal for those who prefer overnight work.
