Job Description:

This ICU nursing contract places you in a 6-bed ICU unit located in Dixon, Illinois, where you'll be supported by a team of monitor techs working around the clock. Expect to handle patients on ventilators, with temporary pacemakers, balloon pumps, and complex hemodynamic monitoring, including titrating critical drips like dopamine, insulin, and vasopressors. Your role involves fluctuating between day and night shifts on 12-hour schedules over a 13-week assignment, offering a chance to immerse yourself in a fast-paced environment with a variety of complex diagnoses such as STEMI, COPD, CHF, and sepsis. This assignment is tailored for experienced ICU RNs comfortable with advanced interventions and team collaboration, including attending team conferences and managing a patient load with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio. Be prepared to work every other weekend and holiday, with minimal on-call duties and floating to areas like Med Surg, ED, or BHC based on your experience. Expect a rewarding travel experience supporting a dedicated ICU team while refining your critical care skills.
