Job Description:

This PACU nursing role offers a hands-on experience in a Level II Trauma Center in Green Bay, WI. You will be responsible for managing post-anesthesia recovery for a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics, following a variety of surgical procedures such as neurosurgery, robotics, orthopedics, and cardiothoracic cases. The shift is scheduled for 8 hours in the evening, with a focus on Phase I and Phase II recovery. Expect to work with an average of 60-80 patients daily, providing discharge instructions, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and managing cardiac medications. The environment encourages collaboration among staff, including charge nurses, management, and support roles, with the support of advanced technology like EPIC EMR and Alaris IV pumps. This assignment is ideal for experienced PACU nurses eager to apply their skills in a supportive and busy surgical recovery setting.
