Job Description:

This CVICU RN contract offers a unique chance to work in a specialized cardiac surgical setting where you'll be treating postoperative patients recovering from open-heart procedures such as CABG and valve repairs. The role involves immediate post-op care, including vent management, invasive monitoring with Flo Trac, CRRT, IABP, and Impella devices. You'll start with 1:1 nurse-to-patient care during the critical first 12 hours before transitioning to a 1:2 ratio, providing attentive and advanced cardiac support. The culture encourages floating within the unit and to affiliated facilities as needed, with a focus on acute adult and geriatric patient populations. The schedule consists of night shifts, offering an engaging experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment that challenges your expertise and flexibility.
