Job Description:

This surgical technologist role involves providing direct and indirect support during operative and invasive procedures across various specialties. You'll assist surgeons by preparing instruments, equipment, and sterile fields, ensuring everything is organized and ready for efficient case flow. Your expertise will help anticipate the needs of the surgical team, adapt to different surgeon techniques, and manage both routine and emergency situations with confidence. Mentoring and training new technologists and students is part of the role, leveraging your certification and experience to elevate team performance. Expect to be actively involved from setup to case closing, always maintaining a steady and focused presence throughout surgical procedures. The position requires adaptability, critical thinking, and the ability to respond swiftly to intraoperative changes, ensuring patient safety and procedure success. Occasional on-call hours outside of regular shifts, including weekends and holidays, will be expected to support hospital needs.
