Job Description:

This contract position calls for a CVOR Registered Nurse with specialized VAD Coordinator experience to manage patients with durable ventricular assist devices. The role involves assessing and troubleshooting VAD equipment, providing education to staff, patients, and caregivers, and handling urgent telehealth calls. The nurse will be responsible for device downloads, alarm management, and coordinating urgent and routine outpatient visits, primarily in a clinic setting. A solid background in VAD technology and alarms is essential, as is the ability to independently triage issues coming through various communication channels. Expect to be the go-to expert in both OR and procedural environments, with a focus on destination therapy for a current patient load of about 210.
