Job Description:

Step into a 13-week travel contract working in a busy Med-Surg/PCU/Tele unit, where you'll manage a variety of patient cases including pneumonia, COPD, heart failure, orthopedic surgeries, and abdominal procedures like appendectomies and cholecystectomies. This role involves 12-hour day shifts, with opportunities to shadow the charge nurse or supervisor on both day and night shifts. You’ll be ensuring smooth patient flow without blocked bed requests, and you'll get hands-on experience with chronic Bipap and Cpap equipment, alongside remote telemetry monitoring. Your expertise in MS, PCU, Tele, or CCU will be key here, but worry not—titrating drips like Heparin is not part of your responsibilities. The unit is fully staffed with nurse aides and PCTs, maintaining a 1:12 ratio, so you can focus on your nursing duties. Expect some weekend rotation and holiday work based on staffing needs, with flexible self-scheduling options.
