Job Description:

Join a renowned trauma and teaching hospital in Washington, D.C., as an Operating Room Registered Nurse. This contract role involves working 12-hour day shifts, with responsibilities centered around supporting nine operating rooms. You’ll be part of a dedicated team managing a variety of surgical cases, with no floating to other units required. The hospital’s vibrant environment offers a unique opportunity to hone your perioperative skills in a busy, fast-paced setting. Night calls are part of the schedule, with a manageable caseload of about 2 night calls and 3 weekend calls per month, scheduled from midnight to 7 AM or other designated hours. Experience working in a structured OR team supporting complex surgical procedures will help you thrive in this role, which provides the chance to contribute to patient outcomes in a center that sees 228 beds and emphasizes staff development.
