Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work in our Post-OP/Oncology/Tele unit in Bridgeport, WV. As a Telemetry RN, you will monitor adult patients recovering from surgeries such as lap choles and appendectomies, manage oncology patients with complications like neutropenic precautions, and handle specialized equipment such as chest tubes and PleurX drains. Experience with chemotherapy biotherapy and telemetry interpretation will make your shift smoother, but first-time travelers are welcome. This role involves reading telemetry strips, managing Heparin drips, and working alongside telemetry techs who handle technical monitor reading. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts, with every-other-weekend commitments, and participate in holiday rotations. The unit emphasizes collaboration with CNAs and respiratory therapists for smooth patient care. The focus is on providing attentive care in a fast-paced, technologically equipped environment, creating a rewarding experience for adaptable and detail-oriented RN travelers.
