Job Description:

Join a busy hospital in Sheboygan, WI, as a respiratory therapist in a 13-week travel contract. This role involves floating throughout the hospital, primarily working on the ICU (CCU) with combined step-down and ICU patients, managing ventilators for 2-5 patients daily, and supporting various inpatient units including cardiac, medical-surgical, and behavioral health. You'll handle a wide range of cases such as COVID, COPD, ARDS, pneumonia, CHF, lung cancer, stroke, RSV, and trach patients on ventilators. The shift is 12-hour nights, giving you plenty of time to enjoy local attractions while delivering critical respiratory support during high-intensity hours. Responsibilities include ABG punctures, ventilator management, inhaled medications, and EKGs, with the opportunity to work with advanced equipment like Hamilton C1, Airvo, and Servo-U ventilators. You will work alongside experienced RTs, with a supportive team including an educator and manager onsite. Prior NICU or peds experience is a plus, and NRP certification allows floating to NICU/peds areas if comfortable. This assignment offers a professional environment that values adaptability and clinical skills in a setting known for its high patient acuity and varied case mix.
