Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with expert proficiency in first scrub for open heart cases. This contract involves 8-hour shifts from early morning through mid-afternoon, five days a week. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment, efficiently preparing sterile fields, managing surgical instruments, supplies, and solutions, and passing instruments to the surgeon during complex procedures. Your precise count of sponges and supplies will be essential to maintaining safety and preventing foreign objects. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a facility that emphasizes high standards in cardiac surgery, requiring prior travel experience and at least two years of recent, relevant clinical practice. As a critical part of the surgical team, you'll help ensure the smooth operation of multiple open heart cases each day, supporting the staff to prevent burnout and maintain optimal patient outcomes.
