Job Description:

This 13-week night-shift contract in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a Nebraska hospital offers a focused opportunity for registered nurses experienced in cardiac, renal, and vascular patient populations. You’ll care for a diverse adult patient demographic, including those recovering from cardiac procedures, dialysis, cancer treatments, and stroke. The role involves managing arterial lines, titrating drips such as Heparin and Insulin, and troubleshooting equipment like vents and monitors. Expect to work alongside a dedicated team with a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio, charge nurses, patient care techs, and telemetry staff. The environment emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and continuous learning, with an emphasis on patient experience and safety. The unique setting requires flexibility, especially when float requirements arise, and encourages a proactive approach to patient monitoring and communication.
