Job Description:

This physical therapy contract at JFK Main offers an engaging opportunity to work on an inpatient rehabilitation unit within a 42-bed facility. You will focus on providing specialized treatment for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical patients. The role involves day shifts, typically 8 hours long, with a schedule that includes one weekend each month, giving you weekdays off to enjoy local highlights. Expect to collaborate with a dedicated team that includes directors, lead therapists, and assistants, using equipment like treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes. Candidates with acute care, SNF, or inpatient rehab experience and current BLS certification are preferred. This assignment invites therapists who are critical thinkers, compassionate, and skilled in managing varied patient needs, all while maintaining a professional but approachable demeanor.
