Job Description:

Join a Level 2 trauma center emergency department as a registered nurse, where you'll experience a fast-paced environment caring for minor to critical patients, including trauma, stroke, sepsis, and cardiac cases. Your shifts will involve managing a variety of patient types, from neonates to geriatrics, in a setting that handles high acuity and heavy trauma cases, especially during busy summer months. As a traveler, you'll be responsible for triaging, evidence collection for sexual assault cases, and supporting both pediatric intensive care and cardiac patients. The role offers unique exposure to a diverse case mix, including critically ill children and adult trauma, with opportunities to float within scope of practice and assist in multiple units. Expect to be an integral part of a team with 24/7 physician and NP coverage, utilizing EPIC and other advanced charting systems. This assignment is only for experienced travelers comfortable with trauma, ED protocols, and sexual assault evidence collection, with a focus on efficient prioritization and critical thinking. Prepare for requests to precept students and to work variable shifts, including weekends, in a Navy-colored scrub environment, with free parking provided.

Shift: Variable shifts from 0630-1900, 1000-2230, 1200-0030, 1400-0200, or 1830-0700
Duration: 13 weeks at 36 hours per week
