Job Description:

Join a respected acute care hospital in Springfield, Illinois, as a Medical Surgical RN for a 13-week night assignment. You'll work 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), providing direct patient care to an average of 22 patients and floating within your scope to other units as needed. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience, familiarity with cardiac monitoring, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and respiratory procedures, and the ability to manage complex cases such as renal failure and trauma. Certifying in BLS is mandatory. Expect to handle diverse tasks, including IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, and managing surgical drains. The setting offers an engaging opportunity to utilize your skills in a level I trauma center, requiring professionalism and adaptability.
