Job Description:

Join a specialized Medical Surgical - Neuro unit as a Registered Nurse in Omaha, Nebraska. This 13-week contract offers an engaging chance to work in a 48-bed unit focusing on neurological conditions such as strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, and brain or spinal cord tumors. You will be caring for patients needing advanced neurological monitoring, including EEG, and be prepared to float across different units like Neuro, Telemetry, and Stepdown, often caring for up to five Med Surg patients. The role involves detailed medication drips and Epic charting, with shifts scheduled as 12-hour days. This position is ideal for experienced RNs familiar with large hospital settings and neuro patient populations. You will get hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment that keeps you learning and growing throughout the rotation. Be aware that first-time travelers are not accepted unless they have experience in a Level 1 Academic Medical Center, but seasoned nurses will find this assignment both rewarding and stimulating.
