Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in a bustling emergency department managing a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics. You'll be working 12-hour mids, providing critical support in a facility equipped with Meditech EMR and a variety of specialized teams including charge nurses, nurse aides, paramedics, and security personnel. Your role involves handling high-acuity cases such as trauma, neuro, and orthopedic patients—some of which are shipped out after initial stabilization. Unique to this setting is a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatric professionals, with approximately 180-200 patient visits per day. Expect to utilize your expertise with Meditech, TNCC, and advanced certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS, and participate in a callout process to ensure smooth staffing. The facility emphasizes completing ORT during the first week, with expectations around adherence and communication. This assignment offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment with significant teamwork and protocol-driven patient management.
