Job Description:

Join this 13-week travel assignment at a respected hospital in Shelby, North Carolina, as a registered nurse specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You’ll be providing care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, dysrhythmia, stroke, respiratory illnesses, and abdominal infections — and you'll encounter a variety of cases that keep your skills sharp. Your responsibilities include managing traches, cardiac rhythms, chest tubes, and central lines, all while collaborating with a supportive team including CNAs, charge nurses, and specialists. The unit operates with a 1:4 RN to patient ratio, sometimes stretching to 1:5 depending on patient acuity. Expect a schedule of 12-hour night shifts, working every other weekend and covering about 75% of holidays. This facility is family-oriented, with a friendly atmosphere that values teamwork and professional growth.
