Job Description:

This contract position for a Speech-Language Pathologist offers a meaningful opportunity to work with a predominantly Native American population, providing vital speech and language therapy services. The role involves evaluating patients from birth to geriatrics, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering therapies focused on improving communication, swallowing, and cognitive skills. You will interpret evaluations, set realistic goals, and modify therapy approaches based on patient progress. The assignment provides hands-on experience with specialty procedures like Videofluoroscopy (VFSS), MBS, and FEES, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals is key, as well as educating patients, families, and staff to promote therapeutic success. This role combines clinical expertise with a chance to make a tangible difference in the community, all while enjoying the unique cultural and scenic richness of the area.
