Job Description:
Join a pediatric operating room team as a Registered Nurse on a contract basis in Hartford. This role involves working 10-hour day shifts with a schedule that includes 2 days of 8-hour shifts and 2 days of 12-hour shifts, with some variation in start and end times to meet the unit's needs. You will be supporting pediatric surgeries, including complex cases like spinal fusions, neurosurgery, and craniofacial procedures, often maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio. The position requires prior OR experience, BLS and PALS certifications, and a willingness to rotate to off-hours shifts as needed. Scrubs are provided, and EMR documentation is via EPIC. Local candidates within 75 miles are encouraged to apply, and those with Level 1 Trauma experience or specific pediatric surgical experience are preferred. This role offers an engaging opportunity to be part of a specialized surgical team focused on pediatric care.
