Job Description:

Join a reputable acute care hospital in Valdosta, Georgia, as a physical therapist on a 13-week travel contract. In this role, you'll work on a step-down telemetry unit, providing therapy and rehabilitation services to adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This assignment offers the opportunity to rotate weekly through various hospital floors, including cardiothoracic ICU, post-surgical units, medical/surgical floors, pediatric, outpatient surgery, and emergency department. Your focus will be on patient mobility, functional improvements, and post-operative recovery using specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts, transfer boards, and walkers. Enjoy a schedule of 8-hour daytime shifts, totaling approximately 40 hours per week, with flexible weekend work once per month. Co-treatments and co-evals are common, and you'll collaborate closely with rehab techs and Unit managers to deliver optimal patient care.
