Job Description:

This ICU travel assignment places you in a bustling Level II Trauma Center with a 492-bed facility, situated in Montgomery, Alabama. The unit, known as 4 South, features 18 beds and handles a mix of intermediate and non-vented ICU patients, including complex neurological cases such as post-embolization hemorrhages, neuro IR procedures, and various neuro/spine surgeries. You'll be expected to manage patients with respiratory failure, CHF, sepsis, and neurological injuries, requiring proficiency in monitoring hemodynamics, ventilator management, and titratable drips like Cardizem and Dopamine. The shift runs from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with a 36-hour weekly commitment over 13 weeks—an excellent chance to experience the vibrant city while honing your critical care skills. Expect a collaborative team environment supported by remote intensivists, hospitalists, and a dedicated resource nurse, all working together to care for diverse, high-acuity patients.
