Job Description:
This adult and pediatric burn trauma surgical ICU RN role offers the opportunity to work in a highly specialized critical care setting. As a primary RN care provider, you'll manage complex burn trauma cases, including code admissions and high-acuity post-operative patients. Your responsibilities will include invasive hemodynamic monitoring at least hourly, IV drip titration, nurse-driven burn fluid resuscitation following the Parkland formula, ventilator management, CVVH, pulse and flap Doppler checks, initial debridement and dressing changes, conscious sedation, surgical recovery, and epidural pump administration. This assignment provides a hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment that truly values expertise in burn trauma care, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 for critical patients and 1:1 for the most severe cases. Prepare to be an integral part of a dedicated team handling some of the most challenging cases in burn trauma.
