Job Description:

Join our outpatient surgery team in Austin, TX, as a registered nurse for a 13-week contract that combines day shifts in a fast-paced surgical setting. You'll be working in a 16-bed unit, supporting preoperative and postoperative care with a team of experienced staff. Your days will be split between 5:30AM–4PM and 8:30AM–7PM shifts, providing a great balance with no weekend or on-call duties. This role offers a chance to experience a busy outpatient surgical environment while working with modern equipment and the Meditech electronic health record system. Expect to perform duties such as starting IVs, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with patient education during discharge. Your focus will be on efficiency and teamwork, ensuring patients are safely prepared for their procedures or discharged home.
