Job Description:

Join a travel laboratory contract in Charleston, South Carolina, supporting day-shift diagnostic testing with strong technical execution and independent judgment. In this role, you’ll perform routine and special diagnostic procedures following established standards, with the flexibility to handle phlebotomy and accessioning duties as needed. You’ll help maintain quality through specimen integrity verification, priority setting, appropriate data evaluation and interpretation, and accurate documentation.

You’ll also operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, complete instrument QC, and document preventive maintenance activities. Information handling is a key part of the work—ordering, receiving, canceling tests, and reviewing or verifying results using Cerner/STAR according to policy, including follow-up of pending tests. The assignment includes supporting technical and administrative functions in coordination with the Laboratory Supervisor, with strict confidentiality maintained throughout.

Expect a hands-on, detail-driven workflow where you’ll keep results accurate and timely, coordinate across departments, and ensure safety and compliance are consistently met.

Shift: 8 hour days (typically 6:30 AM–3:00 PM; possibility of later hours and weekends as needed)
