Job Description:

This contract position places you in the bustling emergency room of a Kansas hospital located near Garden City. As an ER nurse working 12-hour night shifts, you'll navigate treating 6 to 49 patients daily, handling conditions from abdominal pain and pneumonia to acute stroke and trauma. You’ll operate within a comprehensive team that includes charge nurses, mid-level practitioners, and support staff, with responsibilities that go beyond routine patient assessment to include reading tele-monitors, assisting in triage, and potentially performing point-of-care lab tests. The role requires flexibility, as you'll float across ERs within Zone 4, which spans a 60-mile radius around Garden City, including facilities in Ulysses and Dodge City. The position offers a weekly gross pay of approximately $2,014.16, with a commitment of 36 hours per week over 13 weeks. This is a fast-paced, high-contact environment perfect for seasoned ER nurses seeking a temporary adventure in western Kansas.
