Job Description:

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a 24-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializing in cardiac and medical stepdown care. This 13-week contract offers an engaging experience managing patients with complex needs such as respiratory failure, post-surgical recovery, and cardiac interventions. You'll be working primarily with cardiac stepdown patients recovering from procedures like CABG, lung surgeries, or PCI, along with medical patients requiring close monitoring for conditions like CVA, DKA, or sepsis. Expect to titrate cardiac drips, manage ventilators, and handle central lines, all within a supportive, traveler-friendly environment. This role involves a 12-hour day shift, treating a patient ratio of 1:3-4, with local support from support staff, and requires passing an EKG competency exam prior to start. It's a chance to apply your skills on a unit that values diverse expertise and provides plenty of opportunities to grow professionally while enjoying a steady weekly schedule of 36 hours.
