Job Description:

Join a nicotine-free facility as a Physical Therapist and split your time between an Acute Inpatient Unit and a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) in Monterey, California. This travel contract is ideal for a DPT who enjoys variety—supporting neurological rehabilitation and post-surgical recovery in the acute setting, then applying your skills in a SNF where older adults pursue functional gains and progress through rehabilitation.

You’ll evaluate and treat patients across both settings, work closely with multidisciplinary teams, and document thoughtfully in Epic. The assignment also includes a strong focus on unit needs, with floating between locations as required.

Quick note on screening: the facility is nicotine-free, and drug reports must show negative nicotine/cotinine results. If you test positive, it may be reviewed if you have a documented prescription for a nicotine patch; otherwise, the contract will be cancelled.

Weather:

Expect mild, coastal weather with cool mornings and comfortable daytime temperatures. Fog and light breezes are common, along with plenty of bright, clear stretches between coastal marine layers.
