Job Description:

Enjoy a travel nursing contract in Columbia, Missouri, joining a Medical-Surgical unit that supports internal medicine patients with a wide range of diagnoses. This assignment is centered on a 3x12-hour day shift schedule (07:00–19:30), with coverage that includes charge nurse and supervisor support each shift.

What makes this role unique is the blend of steady routines and real flexibility: you’ll float between Medical-Surgical and Medical-Surgical/Tele as assigned. The unit’s room amenities include video monitoring capabilities, sitter rooms, ceiling lifts, and bariatric rooms. The work is highly active, with regular ambulation, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs.

For qualifications, BLS is required and CPI is preferred. Two years of Med/Surg experience is preferred, with consideration for 1.5 years for strong candidates. You’ll work every other weekend and cover 50% of holidays that fall within the contract period.

Expect a mix of mild and changeable conditions, with comfortable daytime temperatures and cooler evenings. Rain and occasional breezes are common, so layering is helpful.
