Job Description:

Manage a wound care program in Greensboro, North Carolina, shaping standards of care and day-to-day practice for wound, ostomy, and continence needs within the facility. In this travel contract role, you’ll direct clinical wound care program work by developing and implementing protocols, documentation tools, wound care formulary guidance, and referral criteria—aligned with national standardization processes.

You will provide direct clinical wound care services, assist nursing staff, and serve as a consultative resource to affiliated healthcare agencies. Your work includes evaluating wounds on admission and ongoing, supporting early identification of issues, and consulting on pressure injuries and any wounds without measurable signs of healing within two weeks. You’ll partner with physicians to recommend changes to wound care orders and build comprehensive plans of care for wound management and prevention.

You’ll also strengthen quality outcomes through documentation review, participation in clinical outcome monitoring and performance improvement initiatives, and completion of root cause analysis (RCA) with action plans for wound-related adverse events. Education is part of the role as you provide ongoing training on available products and support onboarding/training of new Wound Care Coordinators.
