Job Description:

Step into a fast-paced Emergency Room travel nursing role in Maryville, Illinois. This 12-hour night assignment runs from 19:00 to 07:00, with weekend coverage every third weekend (as needed and agreed upon by you and the facility). You’ll work in a combined Adult/Pedi Emergency Department setting, supporting a wide range of ED presentations and standard emergency procedures—so every shift brings a new clinical challenge.

You’ll be responsible for core ED competencies including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IV therapy (including continuous IV sedation), medication administration and blood product administration, vasopressor support, procedural sedation, central line care/management, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions. Additional day-to-day work includes ABG interpretation and care related to head injury, CVA, ortho-trauma, and near drowning presentations.

This contract is open to first-time travelers and is geared toward an ER Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS. Documentation is completed using MediTech, medications are managed via Pyxis, and communication is supported through Vocera.
