Job Description:

Join a travel nursing assignment in Oklahoma City on a medical-surgical unit supporting inpatients pre- and post-surgical services. This role is a great fit for an acute care surgical-floor nurse who enjoys hands-on problem solving and value building at the bedside. You’ll care for patients recovering from surgery, including individuals with new drains, wounds, tracheostomies, ostomies, and feeding tubes (NGT/DHT). Some assignments may also include stepdown-level needs, so your experience in stepdown/PCU care will be important.

Across 12-hour night shifts, you’ll assume responsibility for an assigned patient group, monitor physiological data, document responses to interventions and treatments, administer medications, and initiate/regulate/monitor IV infusions and blood products as ordered. You’ll also assist with minor diagnostic procedures and partner with the care team and families as you help coordinate the hospital course and discharge planning.

ENT and/or transplant experience is preferred. OR candidates are not accepted. If you bring med/surg surgical experience and can confidently manage post-operative technology and wound/drain care, this assignment is built for you—steady work, meaningful outcomes, and a team that keeps nights moving.

Weather:

Expect generally mild to warm conditions with the occasional cool evening. Days are often comfortable, and rain and thunderstorms can pop up from time to time, so flexible plans are a good idea.
