Job Description:

This Operating Room RN position offers a hands-on experience in a bustling Level 1 Trauma Center with a busy surgical schedule. You'll be responsible for perioperative care during a variety of surgical cases, including general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastic surgeries. The role involves 12-hour day shifts, with occasional float to other UCH ORs, and requires working weekends and one weekday shift that varies weekly. This assignment is perfect for experienced OR nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy the challenge of diverse case types. Be prepared for in-depth preoperative assessments, intraoperative support, and post-op care in a team-focused setting that values expertise and flexibility.

The assignment spans 13 weeks at the Aurora, Colorado facility located at 12605 East 16th Avenue. The weekly commitment is 36 hours, with a typical shift starting at 6:45 AM. Candidates must have at least three years of OR experience, including trauma experience, hold an active Colorado OR compact RN license, and maintain current BLS certification. Epic experience is required, and float capabilities within scope to other OR units are expected. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.
