Job Description:

This ICU RN contract offers a chance to work within a mixed ICU unit divided into specialized pods, focusing on complex medical, surgical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases. You'll be managing critical patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, and trauma, often in a fast-paced environment requiring strong assessment and ventilator management skills. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts over 13 weeks, with a commitment of 48 hours per week. Ideal for experienced ICU nurses, particularly those familiar with Epic charting, hemodynamic lines, and advanced equipment like Impella or CRRT. The assignment emphasizes teamwork, critical thinking, and adaptability, with some capacity to float to other adult units if needed. The hospital supplies comprehensive orientation, and there may be opportunities for precepting students. Nurse Aides and RTs support the unit, ensuring a collaborative atmosphere. Please note that prior ICU experience excluding travel is essential; first-time travelers are not accepted for this role.
