Job Description:

Join a professional pediatric psychiatric team in Bangor, Maine, for a 13-week contract working 12-hour day shifts. As a registered nurse in this outpatient inpatient facility, you'll be floating between pediatric and adult units, providing vital support in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities include medication administration, de-escalation techniques, managing patient behaviors, and running groups. You'll experience a variety of diagnoses, from eating disorders to bipolar disorder, and will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psych techs, and therapists. This role is perfect for adaptable nurses willing to step into leadership roles like charge nurse and learn innovative therapies—like pet therapy and community gardens—while making a difference in patients’ recovery journeys.
