Job Description:

This registered nurse role focuses on medical/surgical unit assignments with a mix of post-operative and observation patients, including those with CHF, Diabetes, COPD, and patients requiring telemetry monitoring. You'll work a 12-hour night shift, providing crucial support during a fast-paced environment on a 34-bed unit split between observation and heavy post-op care. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in telemetry with remote monitoring support, without the need to read or verify rhythm strips. Expect to handle IV insertions, wound care, central line management, and other advanced skills while collaborating with supportive team members such as CNAs, a unit secretary, and hospitalist staff. This contract provides a well-rounded nursing experience in a facility where adaptability and technical skills are valued. Total weekly hours are 36, over a 13-week period, with the possibility of occasional overtime contingent on staffing needs.
