Job Description:

Join a busy acute care hospital in Lumberton, North Carolina, as a travel Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical units. This contract offers a blend of fast-paced observation on one side of the ward and heavy post-operative care on the other, providing a well-rounded nursing experience. You will be responsible for tasks such as IV insertions, wound care, chest tube management, and central line care, all while supporting a team with telemetry monitoring and remote tech supervision. The role involves working 12-hour day shifts, with an expected weekly commitment of 36 hours over 13 weeks, and opportunities for overtime based on staffing. You will need to hold current BLS and NCI De-escalation certifications before your start date. This assignment is ideal for nurses who enjoy a variety of patient types including medical patients with CHF, Diabetes, COPD, and post-surgical cases, and who can thrive in a unit with patient ratios typically around 1:5-6. Collaborate with a supportive team that includes CNAs, unit secretaries, hospitalists, and RTs, in a facility that supports EPIC charting and advanced IV pump technology. This is a fast-moving setting where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes.
