Job Description:

This emergency room Registered Nurse position offers a hands-on role at a Level I Trauma Center in Lansing, MI, known for its commitment to rapid patient response and high-intensity care. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30) with a weekly commitment of 48 hours over 13 weeks. The schedule includes three weekends (Friday through Sunday) every four weeks, which may involve working one, two, or all three days, adding some variety to your routine. Floating responsibilities might include pediatric cases, providing an opportunity to expand your expertise. Expect to engage in fast-paced patient assessments, manage dysrhythmias, and utilize Epic charting tools, all while working within a high-volume environment experiencing patient ratios of 1:5-6, potentially up to 8 during busy times or holidays. This assignment is ideal for experienced trauma nurses eager to make an impact in critical situations.
